LINDA PELLAGRINI

IMG_4150.jpeg

Linda Pellagrini is a Brooklyn-based visual artist. Her work explores the collective behaviors and interconnectedness of insects, plants, and humans. Her mixed media work investigates the surreal and often contradictory emotional terrain of human experience, populated with feelings of boredom, pleasure, loss, tenderness, awe, humor, flux, sadness, distraction, anger, everydayness. She takes from the massive amount of visual media that subliminally or explicitly affect our consciousness and incorporates her own photographs, drawing, and painting. Her paintings are often frames from animations that she works on. She graduated from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and participated in the New York Studio Program. The form of her work is sometimes influenced by her years spent living in Japan.
