LINDA PELLAGRINI

Linda Pellagrini is a Brooklyn-based visual artist. Her mixed media work investigates the surreal and often contradictory emotional terrain of human experience, populated with feelings of boredom, pleasure, loss, tenderness, awe, humor, flux, sadness, distraction, anger. She also finds that this medium lends itself to reflecting her feelings of discomfort and anxiety, given the current political climate and world events. She takes from the massive amount of visual media that subliminally or explicitly affect our consciousness and incorporates her own photographs, drawing, and painting. Her watercolor paintings are often frames from her animations. She graduated from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and participated in the New York Studio Program. The form of her work is sometimes influenced by her years spent living in Japan.
